What is MIXA?
Design your own USB blank cassette just like the old mix tapes.
MIXA is a blank cassette (normal size) but instead of tape the MIXA cassette has a retractable USB with 1GB of storage. You can design your own unique sleeve and label using your own images, or you can pick from our lovely MIXA designs. MIXA comes with a plastic case, a set of stickers, a USB extension cable and a beautiful box. When it’s delivered to your door, just plug it in and fill it up with your music, photos, video and other digital goodies - all the digital stuff that normally hides unloved and unseen on your super dull hard-drive.

Can I plug headphones into a MIXA and listen to music?
No. MIXA isn't an iPod, though we think it's just as beautiful.
Can I put a MIXA into my cassette player?
We wouldn't advise it but who are we to stop you. Put it in your washing machine if the mood takes you. Actually, probably best if you don't do that.
Designing your MIXA
How do I make sure the images on my design are a good quality?
Think big! The space for your sleeve design is 924 x 629 pixels so if for example you wanted one of your photos to fill the entire sleeve it should be at least that size. If it’s smaller and then you make it bigger using the MIXA designer, your photo will look jagged. And jagged is bad!
How do I upload my images?
You can upload your own images by clicking “your images” on the image browser gizmo when you’re designing your sleeve. Then you can simply choose an image from your computer by clicking the “browse” button. Once it’s uploaded a thumbnail of the image will appear in the image browser. You can also use photos from your Flickr account too (see below).
What format do my images need to be?
We love jpegs and you should too!
How do I link to my Flickr images?
Click the Flickr tab on the image browser when you’re designing your sleeve. Click the “log in to Flickr” button and a new window will open. If you’re not already logged in to Flickr, log in. Then you just need to give permission for us to access your photos. Then it’s back to the MIXA site where all your Flickr photos will now be available as thumbnails. It’s like magic.
About your MIXA order
Can I change my design?
We’re sorry, but once you’ve made your design we can’t change it, so please make sure you’re happy before you buy.
Can I cancel my order?
We’re sorry, but the answer is usually ‘no’ because we make your order to your design as soon as possible after your confirmation. But please get in touch with us if you have any questions – if you’re quick, and we haven’t started to make your design, then we will try our best to help. (P.S. If, by chance, you have bought a pre-made order and not added a title or any of your own design, then yes, of course you can cancel your order within 7 days). Please see clause 9 of our terms and conditions on how to cancel your order.
Can I get a refund?
We’re sorry but we only refund in exceptional circumstances – and we hope you will only want a refund in exceptional circumstances too as we want you to love MIXA. Please get in touch with us if you’re not happy and we’ll try and do our best to help. Please see clause 9 of our terms and conditions on how to obtain a refund.
How long will my MIXA take to get to me?
We hope to get your orders to you as quickly as possible… remember if you’ve customised your design we have to print it especially for you and it takes a bit of love and care to be sure it’s right.
We aim to get your order to you within 14 days in the UK.
For overseas deliveries, please allow please allow 20 days, just because shipping can take 5-10 days to get to you.
Can I track my order?
At this time we don’t have the facility to track orders, but we will pop you an email when your order is shipped. If your order hasn’t arrived in the expected time then please get in touch with us.
What happens if my MIXA doesn’t arrive?
We hope that will never happen, but in those exceptional circumstances, we’re here to help so please get in touch with us.
My MIXA isn’t what I thought it would be, what do I do?
We hope we’ve made it very clear what your MIXA is, but if you’re not happy, then please get in touch with us and we’ll do everything we can to help.
My MIXA arrived damaged, what do I do?
Oh dear, please send your MIXA back to us at: MIXA, made by mN, 101 Princess Street, Manchester, M1 6DD, UK. We have to know what’s wrong with your MIXA to be able to replace it, but don’t worry if your MIXA is damaged in transit then we will replace it and refund the cost of the postage.
Buying your MIXA
How much does MIXA cost?
MIXA is £19.99 – that includes plastic case, a set of stickers, a USB extension cable and a beautiful box. Shipping is extra – £2.49 for the first MIXA and £1.49 for each additional MIXA, wherever we’re sending it. However we cannot predict what additional charges on deliveries outside the UK may be. Customs policies are different in different countries, so you should contact your local customs office for further information as the buyer shall be responsible for any other taxes applicable in the territory to which the MIXA is sent.
How do I pay for my MIXA?
You can buy MIXA through PayPal using your debit card, credit card or bank account – find out more here about how you can shop safely with PayPal.

Is there an age limit on buying MIXA?
Minors are not eligible to use the PayPal service and we ask that minors (under the age of 18) do not submit any personal information to PayPal or to mN. If you are under the age of 18 please get a parent or guardian to help you buy your MIXA.
How we look after your details
How secure is my payment?
We use PayPal – they’re the people who know the business of keeping your payment details secure… so that’s why we use them. For more information about how PayPal look after your financial details see PayPal’s privacy policy and see how they help prevent identity theft here.
Do you keep my details?
We don’t keep any details of your payment, that’s all handled by PayPal, but we do need to keep your name, email, address and order details, after all we need to send you your MIXA – please see our privacy policy for more information about how we use and look after your details.
